My Chemical Romance Eye Tv Series
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE are hoping to turn their latest album into a TV mini-series for the BBC.
The rockers were asked to make a movie and stage show from their last record, The Black Parade, but they refused because "it didn't feel right".
But the band is now hoping its upcoming album, Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys, will be transformed for the small screen in Britain.
Frontman Gerard Way says, "My dream is that it becomes a 10-part BBC mini-series. I would love that so much more than a movie. A lot of things that inspired me as a kid were those very things. I love Doctor Who.
"There were people who wanted to make a movie of The Black Parade. There was talk of Broadway and an animated film. But we pushed that stuff away as it didn't feel right. It wasn't a movie, it was an album."

My Chemical Romance have said comments suggesting their forthcoming fourth album could be their last have been "pulled out of context".
Singer Gerard Way was quoted in The Sunday Times as saying their new album "could be our last big adventure".
However, guitarist Mikey Way denied this. He said: "We're in the best spot mentally since the beginning of the band - why would we give up now?"
His brother Gerard Way added: "This is the best part of the career."
The band are set to release Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys on 22 November.
It's the follow-up to their 2006 album The Black Parade.
They chose to debut new material from the album, including new single Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na), at the end of last month with a handful of UK live shows.

My Chemical Romance High Five Performances
My Chemical Romance prepare for each of their concerts by getting together with their road crew and giving each other high fives.
My Chemical Romance give each other high fives before every show.
'The Black Parade' hitmakers said they are often misinterpreted as being "spiritual" and insist they have no backstage pre-concert rituals as such, other than getting together with their crew for a brief moment and a celebratory hand gesture before taking to the stage.
Frontman Gerard Way said: "We're not praying, no. People think we're spiritual, I think. I don't know why.
"We try to get the whole crew together and the band and do high fives before the show and just have a minute to say, 'OK, we're ready to take the stage and do this.' "
Gerard also talked about the band's new single 'Na Na Na', and how he feels it is a paradoxical song which has meaningful lyrics and yet appears nonsensical at the same time.
He added to the Daily Record newspaper: "To give it a metaphorical or semi-poetic title would have gone against everything the song was about. It needed to be about the most base thing.
"To me, in spite of the fact the song is about something, it's really just saying 'na na na', which is really just white noise. It is also what the song is also speaking out against in a weird way."
My Chemical Romance's fourth album, 'Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys', is
released on November 22.

My Chemical Romance will never have their music played in an elevator, because their tracks divide opinion too much.

The ‘Na Na Na’ group are on a mission to “polarise” people with their music, and because their tracks inspire different reactions in people, they know they won’t end up as background music.
Guitarist Frank Iero told website Drownedinsound.com: “We're a band that you love or hate. I think the worst thing to be as a band or artist is - well, you'd never hear us in an elevator.
“You hear bands even that are out now, in elevators; because you're indifferent to it. But this band is so loved and so hated that we polarise people, and that's great.”
The band lost drummer Bob Bryar earlier this year while they were making their latest album, ‘Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys’ and Frank said that inspired the four remaining members – Frank, Gerard Way, Ray Toro and Mikey Way – to work with instruments outside of their comfort zone.
He added: “We went in to writing ‘Danger Days’ as a four piece once again, and in doing that we needed electronics to really form that backbone.
“We put down our instruments that we were very comfortable with. Ray and I on every other record just played guitars - I mean, here and there we'd dabble with a little bit of keyboards - but we really threw ourselves in to it this time around.”
‘Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys’ is released on November 22.
